The truth behind animal myths

From bunyips to drop bears, Australia has a rich history of killer-animal tales. In 2021, memes are pointing the finger at quokkas – these bouncy cute marsupials are rumoured to throw their babies at predators to escape. Daddy longlegs are said to be the most venomous spider in the world while freshwater crocs are “completely harmless.”
